Fibre Processing

Although hemp fibre processing technology changed little during the US led embargo on cultivating hemp, in the last 10 years many countries have legalized hemp cultivation and investment in technology has increased sharply so we can now expect more rapid  changes to occur.   Many companies and individuals are currently working on “green”decortication to reduce the need for field retting.  Work is also progressing on mobile decortication machines and harvester/decortication combinations, which will do away with the need for expensive centralized primary processing plants.
